You wrote that the edited photo didn’t look like your grandmother, but I don’t know your grandmother and I would definitely have said that was the same woman. I’m not sure what this means, but I am sure it means something.

It means the tool did its job as well as possible. When you look back and forth between the two photos, you think: Yep, that's the same person. But the shadows in the picture and the low-resolution of the picture makes key facial features unavailable to the AI. Also: Look how perfect that horse looks compared to the grainy horse in the original picture.
