Techdirt has officially stopped using embedded tweets on its site because of “the erratic and unpredictable situation with Twitter right now.” They say it’s “too risky” to trust that the tweets will survive.
In fact, Twitter could go under. Musk could choose to pull the plug on tweet embedding.

No, Substack should not. At least, not yet.
Embedded tweets save the text, so even if the tweet is deleted, the text for it remains when embedded.
