LG flexes with stretchable displays at fashion show
LG Display rolled out its stretchable displays on the catwalk this week during Korea’s Seoul Fashion Week. A handful of fashion designers integrated the display technology with fugly clothing and accessories nobody in their right mind would ever wear. But the tech is amazing. The displays are thin and light and can be stretched, folded, and, all while generating full-color images at 100 ppi.

YouTubers built a six foot tall fully functional iPhone 15 Pro Max
YouTubers Matthew Perkins and Arun Maini built a 6.74-foot-tall, 440-pound iPhone 15 Pro Max. It works like a regular iPhone, complete with a touch screen, speakers, cameras, and all the rest.
The foundation for the “phone” is an LG Signature 88-inch OLED TV. They had a custom-built touch foil the size of the screen, which they glued to the screen using clear glue UV epoxy. A custom aluminum frame contains the speakers and cameras (Z Canon EOS R5 and a Sony RX10 Mark 4). They used Android and Bliss OS with an iOS-theme skin for the operating system.
The whole project cost them $70,000 (so... close to the price of an actual iPhone). Unfortunately, the phone will be rendered obsolete tomorrow when Apple rolls out the iPhone 16 Pro Max.

Flamethrowing robot dog attacks owner? (I don’t believe it.)
A YouTuber named Darren Jason Watkins Jr. (IShowSpeed) says he bought a $100,000 flame-throwing robot dog from a company in China. During a livestream, he tried to get the robot to bark, but it turned on him and tried to burn him with its flame.
I don’t buy any of it. First, the robot appears to be the $9,420 Thermonator robot I told you about last year. Second, he was standing right next to a swimming pool (which he jumped into when the flames hit his legs), which tells me he expected it to happen that way. I’m assuming this was just a stunt to get views.
